How important is a team's mascot? Is it just a person in a costume that wanders among the crowd at sporting events, or is the character the person in costume portrays vital to a team's success?
Since 1923, Pistol Pete has been the mascot of Oklahoma State University. He is well-known by all university students, staff and alumni as well as across the nation.
