Socially Orange

Orange you glad you decided to be social?

Well, Im getting started a little late with this whole blogging thing. It has taken me awhile to figure all of this technology out, however, slowly but surely I'm getting there, thanks to Bill Handy and his social media class #JB4520.

To start everything off I'm going to tell you a little about me, and my future plans. My name is Jaycie Moore. I was born and raised in Midwest City, Oklahoma and graduated from Carl Albert High School. I made my decision to attend Oklahoma State University in 10th grade when I came on a campus visit and attended a Cowboy football game. The campus here at OSU is so pretty, and everyone seemed so friendly and helpful. I liked the idea that it was far enough away from home, yet definitely close enough to be back there in a moments notice. The hour drive seems like nothing now. Beginning my journey here at OSU fall of 2008, I was a business marketing major. However fall of 2009 I changed to public relations and switced to the Journalism Broadcasting School, which I am loving.

Going into PR I didn't really have a great idea of what I could do with it after graduation, however I am now getting a better grasp. Almost every company, organization, sports team and etc. have a public relations department. I change my mind weekly about my future, but I think that graduating with a PR degree will give a pretty wide variety of options. Working in the PR department for a professional sports team would be my ideal job in the future, however a lot of hardwork and networking will be involved. The Journalism and Broadcasting school at OSU has been so helpful to me. My advisors great, and is there to help me any time I need her, and all of my professors that have been affiliated with Journalism/Broadcasting have also been so helpful and understanding. After being in JB for a year, I don't think I could be in any other school such as Business or Arts and Sciences. The JB school makes everyone feel at home, and I know that when it's time for me to get an internship or job there will be many resources and much help in helping me land either of these.

Well there will definitely be more blogs to come now that I'm slowly getting the hang of this. As for now..see ya'll!

I agree with you! I graduated from Union in Tulsa and like the fact that Stillwater isn't far away. The people on and around campus are so nice to deal with and I love the vibe you get while on campus. I have been to Norman a few times and I really don't like it lol. It's too "commercial" and too much a part of OKC. Stillwater is it's own little town :) Maybe I'll see you around campus!
