Not sure about everyone else, but I was still confused about the difference between goals, objectives, strategies and tactics. I know it should be embedded in our brain so I found this Web site very useful. Enjoy! http://tinyurl.com/ybj9cox

JB4520 Overview

I am more proud than ever to be considered the first generation to take Bill Handy's social media course. I was hesitant to take the class at first, fearing that I would be way out of my league; however, I feel like I was right where I needed to be.

Being a sophomore surrounded in a class of juniors and seniors can be a little intimidating. Since many of the students in my social media class will be graduating in May or December, they had a lot of experience regarding public relations and case… Continue

Dress the Part

Great! You landed the interview for the job position you most desperately wanted, you know what to do and want not to do. Anita Bruzzese

On Thursday OSU had its twenty-second Annual Paul Miller Lecture Series. I had never been to the Paul Miller Lecture Series before so I don’t know about any of the other guest speakers, but I would like to state, I feel whoever picked the guest speaker this year did a great job.

Media Style and Structure

This semester I am taking Media Style and Structure with Ray Murray. This class is required for all students majoring in the School of Journalism and Broadcast. It is a basic writing course, which teaches students how to write in AP style.

A basic lecture consists of a quiz and taking notes. The quizzes test your ability to pay attention and retain information from past lectures, as well as reading material that may have been assigned. Along with the lecture class, there is also a lab. The lab… Continue

The Future of Journalism and PR

I recently read an article and it listed 25 questions about the future of pr and journalism, all of which made great points and got me thinking. Where is pr and journalism heading? With the circulation of newspapers slowing down tremendously, what does the future look like for both professions? It seems like as times and technology changes it is in everyone's best interest to adapt to what is coming. The sooner… Continue
